Event Registration

Eligibility: Artists living in the following counties are eligible for participation: St. Joseph, Elkhart, LaPorte, Marshall and Starke counties in Indiana and Berrien and Cass counties in Michigan.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

Artists & Performers who submit their applications by the early registration deadline, will be given a higher preference on their booth location or performance time.

Early Registration deadline is June 10, 2011

Final Registration deadline is July 8, 2011

RAIN POLICY

In case of severe weather, the event will be moved inside Century Center in downtown South Bend. Event organizers will make this call 24 hours prior to the start of the event and notify all participating artists by email as well as post information on the Art Beat website.

JURY
All Art Beat entries will be juried by a committee. Applications received prior to April 15th will be juried between April 15-20. Applications received after April 20th will be juried between July 8-12. Accepted applicants will be informed of their selection soon after the jury is completed.

1. VISUAL ARTISTS:

Visual Artists (paintings, jewelry, sculpture, ceramic etc) will need to fill out the online application through ZAPP. Click on the ZAPP logo to be taken to the ZAPP web site where you can sign up for participation in Art Beat 2011.

PROCESS:

  • If you are not a member, then please sign up on the ZAPP web site- its free and easy.
  • ZAPP members can click on Participating shows from the ZAPP home page and find Art Beat in the list of events.
  • Next click on "Apply to this Show" on the top right and you will be taken to the simple application form. You can submit your sample of work photographs from last year but are encouraged to upload new one if possible.

2. PERFORMING ARTISTS

Performing Artists (dance, theater, acoustic, bands, etc) will need to fill out the form below and email, mail or fax it in to us. The form is in editable MS Word format so you can fill it out and email back to us.

3. CULINARY ARTISTS

4. ARTS ORGANIZATIONS & NON PROFITS

NOTE: ONLY NON-PROFITS CONDUCTING AN ARTS ACTIVITY ARE ELIGIBLE FOR PARTICIATION IN ART BEAT

Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers to help coordinate the event this year.

Volunteers are needed for activities such as:

  • Registering Artists and Performers
  • Helping Scene Managers place artists at their booths
  • Staffing the information booths
  • General support to artists with setup etc.
